Job Overview

The Inventory Management Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Supply Chain Director at Septodont Cambridge. This position is focused on overseeing and evaluating inventory levels, detecting patterns, and providing insights to enhance inventory operations. Collaboration with various departments is essential to ensure the precision of inventory and the availability of raw materials to fulfill production requirements.

Contract Details

This is an 18-month contract position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, quantify, and allocate inventory resources across different locations and departments to ensure optimal storage and utilization of materials.
  • Monitor inventory expiration status and alert relevant teams regarding items nearing expiry or requiring retesting.
  • Ensure accurate inventory movement and availability across various storage facilities.
  • Oversee the material release process to maximize inventory accessibility.
  • Initiate stock adjustments and replenishment notifications based on changes in non-consumption inventory.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, surpluses, and shortages by analyzing inventory reports and implementing improvements to inventory systems.
  • Conduct calculations and analyses to maintain and update inventory data and metrics.
  • Proactively recognize potential risks to future supply chain requirements and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Drive initiatives for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and execute cycle counts and inventory obsolescence assessments.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with operational teams.
  • Develop proactive strategies to mitigate low inventory issues and prevent stockouts at the warehouse level.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for inventory reduction.
  • Enhance and sustain the company's inventory requirements through statistical analysis.
  • Prepare inventory reports and analyses as needed.
  • Assist in inventory forecasting efforts.
  • Support specific projects as needed to meet supply chain demands.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Comply with GMP and regulatory standards, ensuring quality benchmarks are achieved.
  • Embody the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, alongside current business practices.
  • Perform additional related duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory analysis.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of inventory and logistics management within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Relevant experience with ERP systems, encompassing various inventory transactions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing projects and multiple priorities independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting capabilities.
