Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing physiotherapy services to patients across various units, including acute, medical-surgical, and rehabilitation settings.
  • Working closely with occupational therapists, OTA/PTA's, and discharge planners to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and care coordination.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Current licensure with the College of Physiotherapy.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Proven experience working with acute, surgical, and rehabilitation patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to manage a moderately heavy workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Sunday, all shifts, with flexible scheduling to meet operational needs.
  • Physically demanding role, requiring ability to lift, bend, and move patients as needed.
