Case Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Case Manager to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals impacted by disruptive events through case management.
Key Responsibilities- Support Persons Impacted by Disruptive Events
- Work with individuals in a confidential and empathetic setting to understand their needs and develop a recovery plan.
- Provide access to relevant services, including basic needs, referrals, financial assistance, and recovery planning.
- Facilitate inclusive access to Canadian Red Cross services using a person-centered approach.
- Work as Part of a Collaborative Team
- Collaborate with other members of the Case Management team and Recovery Services Programming to ensure that impacted persons' needs are always at the forefront.
- Identify emerging trends related to identified needs and capacity, and share with the Case Management and Operations team as required.
- College degree in a related field, and 1-3 years of experience working in customer service, case management, disaster recovery, health services, or a related field.
- Knowledge or experience in customer service, disaster recovery, emergency management, community development, social work, or psychology is an asset.
- Experience in emergency settings is an asset.
- Understanding of the Canadian Red Cross role in emergency response and recovery is essential.
- Experience using database systems is required; experience using EMIS is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Adobe is required.
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to take training is required.
- Language requirements: must be able to read, write, and deliver services in English or French; additional languages are considered an asset.
- The majority of the work is performed in a clean and comfortable environment.
- Potential for responding in disaster areas, as well as difficult and unstable conditions, and uncomfortable conditions.
- Ability to respond during non-traditional hours and long hours of work in a demanding context.
- Ability to respond in local and outside communities.
- Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
