Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Finance to join the Financial Planning Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all corporate financing functions and business partnership development for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning and reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business units and departments to ensure effective financial management.
  • Manage and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and financial institutions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or MBA).
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of recent related experience in a progressively senior financial planning capacity in a large, complex healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically and creatively solve complex problems within a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Results-oriented with a high-pressure working environment and numerous critical timelines.
  • Proven negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Financial planning and reporting, cost accounting, and financing expertise.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership, management, and supervisory experience with a strong business acumen.
