Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Finance to join the Financial Planning Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading all corporate financing functions and business partnership development for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning and reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and other stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business units and departments to ensure effective financial management.
  • Manage and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and other financial institutions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or MBA).
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of recent related experience in a progressively senior financial planning capacity in a large, complex healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically and creatively solve complex problems within a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Results-oriented with a high-pressure working environment and numerous critical timelines.
  • Proven negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Financial planning and reporting, cost accounting, and financing expertise.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership, management, and supervisory experience with a strong business acumen.
