Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at PBX Builders Ltd. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for concrete work.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Estimate costs and materials for concrete projects.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan concrete work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English language.
