Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Healthcare Unit Administrator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication among healthcare professionals, departments, patients, and their families while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive patient information. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of administrative duties, including reception tasks, welcoming and directing visitors, patients, and healthcare staff, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and charts.

Additionally, you will be tasked with transcribing and processing physician orders, coordinating patient tests and treatments, and executing various administrative activities that support the unit's operations.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education. Successful completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or a comparable training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills are essential. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities are required. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial. The role involves managing multiple competing priorities, often under tight deadlines. Flexibility and comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are necessary. Training in Connect Care is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in advanced computer applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and e-People is preferred. Relevant experience is considered an asset.
