Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Health Unit Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our patient care unit, you will play a vital role in coordinating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare professionals and departments.
- Act as a liaison between interdisciplinary team members, facilitating effective collaboration and communication.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain patient charts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform reception duties and assist with administrative tasks, providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Essential Qualifications:
- Grade 12 completion or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Health Unit Coordinator course or equivalent training program.
- Proficiency in computer skills and Connect Care training, with a strong understanding of healthcare software and systems.
