Job Opportunity:

Aecon is seeking a skilled TBM PLC Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and high voltage control systems for TBM/STP equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining TBM/STP documentation for existing and new equipment.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and identification of operational problems with PLC and related TBM/STP components.
  • Assist with TBM/STP start-ups and operational checkouts on system, including coordination of wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
  • Assist in diagnostics of cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of equipment.
  • Ensure components and support system comply with all standards and regulations.
  • Assist in repairing and replacing defective components.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant working experience in the tunnelling industry.
  • Experience with Slurry Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) (6m diameter) and/or Slurry Treatment Plant (STP) (min 1,200 m3/h).
  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
