Job Description for Cook at Paddy's Oneil's

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Paddy's Oneil's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure efficient use of ingredients and resources.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including those for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow and high standards.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize resource use.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient use of resources and high standards.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Equivalent experience in a related field.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Repetitive tasks to maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Permanent work term.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 32.5 hours per week.
