SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Mining Engineer to join our team in a remote location in Quebec. As a Senior or Principal Mining Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of mining projects, providing technical support and consulting advice to clients in North America and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance, and project management for mining projects.
- Develop and maintain a client network in collaboration with the Ontario mining team.
- Provide focused consulting advice on mining projects, including contribution to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance, and project management.
- Work on a range of projects, both nationally and internationally, and may involve international travel.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in mining engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in mining engineering, in operations and/or consulting.
- A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written French and English.
- Advanced level of technical skills in mining engineering.
- Proficient in mine planning and optimization software tools, preferably Deswik.
- Sufficient knowledge of the main aspects of mineral projects to enable identification of study risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Advanced level of interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- High level of effective communication and leadership qualities while working in a team environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships, with a preference for existing relationships within the Québec mining industry.
- Capacity to act as a Qualified Person or equivalent to satisfy requirements for National Instrument and/or other international reporting codes.
