Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure library environment, adhering to all school and library policies.
  • Assist students and educators with book circulation, research, and technology-related tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with students and staff.
  • Organize and maintain library collections, ensuring accurate cataloging and shelving.
  • Operate library technology, including online catalog systems and education software.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement library programs and services.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of clerical experience, preferably in an educational library setting.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and education technology tools.
  • Competency in library technical skills, including the Dewey Decimal System and automated library systems.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and lift boxes as required.
