Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist / BIM Specialist to enhance our Design team within the Architecture Group. This role is based in our Halifax office and involves significant responsibilities in the preparation and assessment of contract drawings, details, and sketches, ensuring high quality and adherence to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and evaluation of contract documentation with a focus on quality and deadlines.
- Implement and refine processes in REVIT to ensure efficient and consistent drawing production.
- Collaborate with team members to understand and apply EXP standards in project assignments.
- Mentor designers in utilizing drawing production tools and methodologies.
- Advocate for the use of corporate technology tools within the office.
- Engage with proposal and project teams to clarify technology requirements and project scopes.
- Lead BIM-related tasks across multiple large-scale, complex projects.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients and project teams regarding BIM and digital delivery.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of building systems and detailing, with the capability to work autonomously on contract documents and document verification. A collaborative approach is essential, working alongside Project Managers, Architects, and other Technical and Design Staff.
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in BIM 360, REVIT, and architectural design, with outstanding skills in producing and coordinating contract documents. Proficiency in Autodesk design and construction software, including BIM 360, REVIT, AutoCAD, and Revisto, is mandatory.
Skills: The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with teams to create working drawings and 3D models for innovative multi-disciplinary projects. Strong time management skills are necessary to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
