**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Aspira West Park Crossing Retirement Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to production sheets, recipes, and other menu documents.
  • Monitor the quality of food supplies received and advise the team leader of any issues.
  • Assume responsibility for departmental operations, including menu changes and requisitioning food and supplies.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in cooking in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
  • A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate.
  • Grade 12 minimum education required.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the residence.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program and willing to Red Seal certify.
