About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Primary Health Care Specialist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing patient education and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team
  • Participating in interprofessional medical rounds and contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services
  • Ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems
  • Traveling to various locations as required

We are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics, effective communication skills, and the ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
  • Licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent part-time position, with 37.5 hours bi-weekly. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate is $[insert rate].
