About the Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple project teams and managing a portfolio of projects from concept to completion. Your expertise will be called upon to troubleshoot issues, recommend innovative ideas, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams and manage project portfolios to achieve project goals and vision;
- Develop and drive construction schedules to ensure completion dates and milestones are met;
- Recommend innovative construction methodologies to increase effectiveness and efficiency;
- Ensure compliance with Pomerleau's Quality Program;
- Apply financial management expertise to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing;
- Share knowledge and mentor project team members;
- Serve as an expert in risk management to minimize project risk;
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on assigned projects;
- Celebrate project success and completion as a key member of the project close-out process.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management degree/diploma from an accredited institution;
- Minimum 10 years' experience working as a project manager in the general contracting or construction management sector;
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to influence others and resolve client, project, and technical issues;
- Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes, and relevant legislation;
- Serve as a role model with regards to health and safety, quality, and stakeholder relationships;
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines.
