Position Overview

As a Mortgage Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting a leading Mortgage Specialist in achieving sales targets and facilitating related tasks through exceptional administrative support. Your primary responsibility will be to manage client interactions effectively, ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding service by promptly addressing client inquiries via fax, email, and telephone.
  • Ensure efficient execution and delivery of client transactions and requests.
  • Build strong relationships with referral sources and possess a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process to provide effective solutions.
  • Commit to continuous personal development to maintain relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Stay informed about current events and market trends to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage the Mortgage Specialist's correspondence, prioritizing communications for timely responses.
  • Organize the Mortgage Specialist's schedule to optimize time management and productivity.
  • Oversee office operations, ensuring availability of necessary equipment and supplies while maintaining organized records.
  • Proactively identify the needs of the Mortgage Specialist and prepare required materials for presentations and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in the completion and validation of Homebase files, ensuring compliance with due diligence requirements.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a service and sales support role, collaborating with a sales team.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in business writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with emerging communication technologies, such as web-based meetings and digital banking.

Preferred:

  • Resourceful and able to work independently.
  • Sales-oriented with a self-motivated and proactive approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of Royal Bank systems, including Sales & Service Platform and RBCNet, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the mortgage process and home financing products is beneficial.
