About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Loan Syndications & Agency team as an Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team in providing structuring, marketing, and loan distribution strategies to address syndicated lending requirements of our clients across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead arranger & book-runner for syndicated lending transactions
  • Assist in evaluation, structuring, marketing, delivery, and management of debt solutions in the Canadian syndicated loan market
  • Enhance deal execution with comprehensive credit analysis, research, and preparation of various marketing materials
  • Key liaison role between CWB and other loan participants in the initial transaction and in subsequent amendments
  • Organize and distribute due diligence information to secure data rooms for transactions across their lead syndication portfolio
  • Active involvement with the development and maintenance of CWB's comparable transaction database
  • Conduct industry and market research and select relevant data for lead syndication activities
  • Manage and respond to requirements of participating lenders as required to successfully close transactions
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
  • CFA or CBV designation considered an asset
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, capital structuring, risk management, origination, and execution of syndicated loan structures
  • Superior attention to detail to ensure accuracy of key deliverables
  • Proficient competency of Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
