About the Role

As a Warehouse Associate at Metrie, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products through our manufacturing and distribution process. This position requires a high level of physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling material bundles that weigh up to 49 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
  • Read and understand pick lists and paperwork
  • Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
  • Clean and tidy the work area as required
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
  • Product binning and put-away as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical work
  • Ability to commute to work reliably
  • 1 or more years warehouse experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Forklift operating experience and other warehouse equipment experience preferred
  • Solid work ethic, and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills an asset
