We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at PHSA. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services to individuals with complex mental health and substance use issues who are involved in the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments, to inform treatment recommendations and court reports.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide expert testimony in court proceedings.
- Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Board certification in Psychiatry and a subspecialty certification in Forensic Psychiatry.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Strong clinical and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
