About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Hexagon Construction Ltd. as a Construction and Renovation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation and Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Installation and Finishing
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by wearing personal protective equipment, including steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience is an asset
  • Work Environment
    • Work in various locations, including construction sites and renovation projects
  • Transportation and Tools
    • Own transportation to and from work
    • Own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat
  • Personal Qualities
    • Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential
