About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student Shared Services.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnosing and performing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
  • Assisting with mobile emergency services.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Holds an S and/or T license.
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set.
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided.
