Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to become a vital part of our team at Flint. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of specialized knowledge in the downstream oil and gas industry, along with a professional certification that enables them to endorse and validate reports.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Environmental Consultant will:

  • Provide expert guidance in environmental science, engineering, and regulatory compliance to effectively evaluate and resolve environmental challenges for our clients.
  • Engage in a client-focused approach to build strong relationships, conduct thorough risk assessments, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts, to create integrated solutions for complex environmental issues.
  • Stay informed about the latest environmental regulations and guidelines, advising clients on compliance obligations and supporting them through the permitting process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and the integration of innovative technologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of our environmental consulting services.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including claims and invoices, ensuring all documentation is completed within established timelines.
  • Participate in additional projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A University Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on environmental assessments, remediation, and compliance.
  • A proven track record of managing complex environmental projects, including site investigations and risk assessments.
  • A strong understanding of environmental regulations relevant to the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of guidelines and procedures in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan is considered a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff.
