Position Overview

Extended Family Senior Services LLC is seeking a seasoned electrical estimator to join our dynamic team. With over 25 years of experience in delivering innovative electrical solutions, we specialize in a variety of sectors including energy, petrochemicals, metallurgy, mining, and the pulp and paper industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Electrical Estimator, your daily activities will include:

  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and addendums thoroughly;
  • Conducting material, equipment, and labor inventories in both institutional and industrial sectors;
  • Engaging with clients and engineering firms during the bidding process;
  • Managing requests, receiving, and analyzing pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontractors;
  • Assisting in the preparation of submission documents;
  • Supporting project managers in project execution and change order evaluations;
  • Organizing and/or participating in site visits for bids;
  • Adhering to established quality processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Providing assistance in project completion;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A DEC or BAC in electrical engineering or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in estimation or project management within the industrial or institutional electrical field;
  • A valid driver's license;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel;
  • Familiarity with MS Project is considered an asset;
  • Strong command of written and spoken French;
  • Good command of written and spoken English is an asset.
