We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team at Lone Star Texas Grill. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and providing leadership and coaching to our team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, including prep cooks, line cooks, and other support staff.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our kitchen staff.
  • Conduct regular inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including labor costs, food costs, and other operational expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop and implement menu planning and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and handling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with the ability to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ability to lift items up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time.
