Plays a vital role in the overall success of the Business Deposit Solutions team by acting as a product steward for a segment of the portfolio.
Directing and supervising products to ensure that business strategies, objectives, and initiatives are executed in accordance with all compliance and regulatory standards.
Identify opportunities for ongoing enhancements to foster growth within the Business Deposits portfolio.Envisions, develops, leads, and executes business strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives aimed at maintaining or improving our competitive edge, profitably growing the balance sheet, and strengthening customer relationships.
# Cultivates and promotes a customer-centric culture within their team to deepen client connections and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.# Overseeing deposit products and key initiatives to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction by:
# Analyzing customer, product, and competitive insights, recognizing trends, and acting on opportunities to boost P&L growth, product diversity, non-interest revenue, and minimize costs.
# Proactively identifying opportunities to support business line objectives and ensure alignment of initiatives with GTB and Bank strategies.
# Collaborating with partners across the Bank to implement product enhancements and increase deposit volumes, articulating the product vision, including customer impacts, business/stakeholder value, system dependencies, and technological processes, both internal and external.
# Reviewing and analyzing the performance of existing product lines to ensure they meet expectations and objectives.
# Assessing and resolving complex issues and interdependencies (product, channel, process, and system) to deliver initiatives/projects effectively and efficiently.
# Communicating product updates through various channels to ensure the effective delivery of new and/or enhanced products, programs, and processes to the sales force.
# Identifying product education needs and delivering multi-channel training programs for GTB Sales and business line sales teams to accelerate sales growth and meet customer needs.
# Supporting communication to Senior Leadership as a subject matter expert through various forms of written and verbal presentations (i.e., periodic commentary and insights, product reviews, business reviews, annual planning, strategic review sessions, etc.).
Reviewing financials, key performance indicators, and trends for:
# Contributing to the annual profit planning process to establish revenue and sales forecasts for all distribution channels and business lines.
# Delivery of initiatives / approved projects:
# Developing and executing new initiatives from concept to implementation, including preparing opportunity assessments, business cases, presentations, project plans, and securing stakeholder buy-in.
# Leading project teams and taking responsibility for achieving specific milestones to ensure targets are met.
# Overseeing the design and implementation of product initiatives - Operating in an Agile environment for digital products, and waterfall as necessary.
# Engaging strategically and influencing stakeholders to manage prioritization and change delivery.
# Ensuring requirements agreed upon by partners are driven by customer feedback and data.
# Maintaining project momentum with a sense of urgency by actively participating in the project team, sprint reviews, and driving milestones.
# Stakeholder Relationship Management:
# Managing vendor partnerships for the portfolio (ongoing program management, financial reporting/results tracking, and negotiating support).
# Influencing business partners in efforts to deliver projects that maximize profit and/or enhance the customer experience.
# Understanding how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be integrated into daily activities and decisions.
# Creating an environment where the team pursues effective and efficient operations in their respective areas while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations regarding operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
7-8 years of experience in Product Management within the Banking sector.
# A university degree in business or finance (MBA is an asset).
# Familiarity with the Bank's application systems and their interrelations is an asset.
# Experience in an Agile environment is an asset.
