Job Summary:

Travel Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Marketing and Branding to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing partnerships to promote Alberta as a desirable destination for travel, investment, and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Program Management: Develop and manage key partnership programs with industry stakeholders, including destination marketing organizations, airlines, and select industry associations.
  • Strategic Vision: Lead the strategic direction and oversight of partnerships programs across various workstreams, including digital, consumer marketing, trade, and destination development.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and Travel Alberta team members.
  • Financial Management: Lead partnership programs forecasting, budget management, project execution, and vendor communications in alignment with Travel Alberta's finance framework.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Establish and monitor team performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct ongoing performance discussions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in marketing, business, communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: ~7 or more years direct progressive experience, ideally building up partner programs and having strategic decision-making input at a senior level.
  • Skills: Experience contributing insights and decision-making recommendations to senior and executive leaders, experience working in airline marketing and/or the tourism industry, experience with complex budget management and financial forecasting, ability to manage through ambiguity and exercise independent judgment.
