We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at St. Lawrence Uppercut Meat Packers Ltd. as a Butcher Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing meats for sale in our retail shop.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Meats
- Clean and trim meats to prepare for cutting and processing
- Cut and prepare standard cuts of meat for sale
- Operate Equipment and Machinery
- Use a band saw to cut and process meats
- Operate a power grinder to grind meats
- Use a slicing machine to slice meats
- Provide Excellent Customer Service
- Interact with customers to answer questions and provide information about our products
- Price and package meats for sale
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of customers and products
- Handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Language
- Fluent in English
