Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the Role:
The Global Sourcing and Contract Management team at OpenText is seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team. As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in maximizing value from our vendor relationships and ensuring our business unit stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category management plans to reduce costs and increase supplier performance within the IT & Telecom category.
- Lead RFX planning & execution, and manage the supplier selection process.
- Collaborate with senior management and business unit leads to develop sourcing strategies and programs aligning with strategic objectives.
- Enhance supplier relationships and ensure commitments are fulfilled to meet internal client's needs.
- Present recommendations and lead commercial negotiations.
- Manage and optimize supplier performance, including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduced total cost of ownership.
- Support the identification of post-merger and acquisition contract and software synergies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience.
- Global mindset preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, MBA, LLB, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- Ability to maintain perspective and confidence when leading and negotiating major transactions, contract negotiations, tight deadlines, and client expectations.
- In-depth experience & knowledge of IT Hardware, Software and Telecom networking & datacenter/co-location.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of business ethics and accountability.
