About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Kamloops Kia. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Direct and control daily dealership operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
    • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
    • Plan and organize daily operations to meet sales and customer service goals.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage staff and assign duties to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure that the dealership has the necessary resources to meet its goals.
    • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and develop effective marketing strategies to meet those demands.
    • Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale to ensure that the dealership has a competitive inventory.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Financial Management
    • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure that the dealership is operating within its means.
    • Determine staffing requirements to ensure that the dealership has the necessary resources to meet its goals.
  • Customer Service
    • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
    • Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure that customer service is provided in a timely and effective manner.
    Requirements
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Permanent employment.
    • English as the primary language of work.
    • 40 hours per week.
    Work Environment

The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The role will require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
