Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Auditor plays a crucial role in our Internal Audit Program. This position is responsible for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of our quality management system by ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the documentation of the Quality Management System and prepare updates as needed.
- Execute audits, generate comprehensive reports, and deliver briefings.
- Initiate corrective actions, evaluate response plans, conduct root cause analyses, and perform follow-up verifications.
- Manage audit follow-ups, including communication with auditees regarding action resolution status.
- Conduct reviews of product compliance, including necessary documentation.
- Carry out quality product conformance checks for aircraft, document findings, and initiate appropriate actions.
- Engage in technical investigations, evaluate outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Conduct evaluations and approvals of suppliers.
- Participate in the Safety Management Program and 6S assessments.
- Collaborate with various departments and external clients on quality-related issues.
- Prepare reports and correspondence, while maintaining accurate records and files.
- Contribute to the training initiatives within the Quality Department.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications
- DEC or bachelor's degree in an aviation-related discipline or relevant coursework preferred.
- Graduate Technologist/Technician or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, or repair and overhaul.
- At least 1 year of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role.
- 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory position; formal aerospace avionics/electrical/mechanical background is preferred.
- Strong understanding of AS9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Quality Procedures pertinent to the aerospace sector.
- Excellent writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel for data analysis.
- Effective communication skills, capable of leading discussions and chairing meetings.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment standards, fully complying with all relevant legislation.
- Quality Management certification is an asset.
