Position Summary
As a Climate Control Equipment Technician, your primary responsibility will be to enhance customer satisfaction by conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on equipment. You will also be responsible for delivering and installing equipment as required, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform necessary maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Dismantle, reassemble, and repair equipment as needed.
- Deliver and install climate control equipment as required.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with standard equipment.
- Fabricate parts when necessary.
- Conduct regular safety inspections on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, whether in the service vehicle or workshop.
- Adhere to all company and safety regulations.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Possession of a minimum Gas Technician G2 certificate.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Strong technical knowledge of propane and natural gas appliances, as well as equipment operations.
- Familiarity with oil-burning equipment is an asset; training will be provided.
- Willingness to obtain WHMIS and TDG certifications.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and at least three years of driving experience.
- A DZ driver's license is an asset; training will be provided.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects regularly.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in using computers and mobile devices.
- Liquid propane fitter certification is an asset; training will be provided.
- Construction Heater Service and Maintenance Technician 1 certification is an asset; training will be provided.
