Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator - Floater

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Floater. As a key member of our Early Learning Program, you will provide high-quality education and care to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day program.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide play-based education, support enhanced learning, and promote cognitive, emotional, and social development in our students. You will lead an extended program before and/or after school for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools and work with teachers in daily classroom activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality education and care to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day program
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide play-based education and support enhanced learning
  • Lead an extended program before and/or after school for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools
  • Work with teachers in daily classroom activities to promote cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Completed a two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
  • Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Minimum of one year of child care experience
  • Valid First Aid certification/CPR
  • Immunization Record with proof of MMR and Tdap immunizations
  • Police Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector Check
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $25.80 - $32.80 per hour, starting rate based on specific Credit for Experience criteria in the SSP Collective Agreement. A personal vehicle is required for this position.
