Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Canadian Brew House (St South) Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing menus, as well as overseeing kitchen operations, staff management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menu items, and cooking techniques to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes that meet customer expectations.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, including food costs, labor costs, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
