About the Role

MILKYWAY LOGISTICS INC is seeking a skilled Transport Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports.
  • Transportation Experience: Long-haul and provincial/territorial transportation experience.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handle heavy loads, and work overtime as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
