Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher - Motor Vehicles to join our team at TRIDENT TRANSPORTATION INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle fleet and coordinating the activities of our drivers and crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, and repairs.
  • Personnel Coordination: Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring that they are aware of traffic and other issues that may impact their routes.
  • Dispatch and Scheduling: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and ensure that all assignments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Operate radio equipment and process and transmit information to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including recording mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
