About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Mucho Burrito. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
    • Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe food service.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to prevent waste and ensure availability.
  • Customer Service
    • Train staff to provide excellent customer service and ensure that customer needs are met.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining records of food, supplies, and equipment.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods and working under pressure. They will be required to maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to lift heavy objects.
