Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at PALFINGER AG. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing crane electric, electronic, and hydraulic systems, as well as providing technical support to our dealers and service partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair crane systems via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Provide feedback to the operations department on market issues.
  • Conduct regular on-site service visits with dealers and service partners.
  • Travel for on-site service partner support, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide basic service training to our dealers and service partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our dealers and service partners.
  • Follow up with dealers and service partners on key service issues.
  • Liaise with design contacts in Europe to report issues and resolve market service issues.
  • Work closely with training staff to provide feedback on market service issues.
  • Support similar product lines with after-sales service support.
Requirements
  • Technical training and education in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience working with Palfinger Knuckle Boom Cranes is an asset.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to read technical specifications, diagrams, and installation manuals.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the Region North America and to PALFINGER headquarters in Europe.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Ability to work in various environments and perform physical tasks.
  • Second language skill (German, Spanish, or French) is an asset.
