Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at K5 FLOOR & TILE LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. They will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Additionally, they will prepare rough plans and sketches, cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, and pack grout into joints between tiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation
  • Mix and apply adhesives
  • Cut and fit tiles
  • Pack grout into joints
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. They will also need to have attention to detail and be accurate in their work.

Personal Suitability

We are looking for a reliable and team-oriented individual who is client-focused and accurate in their work. The successful candidate will also need to be able to work 40 hours per week and have a strong work ethic.
