Job Title: Tile Setter

K5 FLOOR & TILE LTD. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking the area.
  • Mix and apply adhesives to ensure a strong bond between the tile and the surface.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate tile installation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Conditions:

The work environment is physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is essential.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Work Hours:

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
