About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the WSP team responsible for the execution and construction of the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI). The PHAI represents the federal government's response to the community-requested solution for the cleanup and local, long-term, safe management of historic low-level radioactive waste in the municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington.
What You'll Do- Utilize your expertise to complete field surveys, write technical reports, and collaborate with counterparts across various disciplines at WSP.
- Manage relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met, while providing guidance and expertise.
- Ensure that appropriate background research and analysis are conducted in consultation with relevant government agencies.
- Conduct botanical field investigations, including Ecological Land Classifications, targeted SAR surveys, SAR habitat assessments, and delineations of wetlands and other features.
- Experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
- University Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Business Administration, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, practices, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Eligible for CNL Reliability Status.
