Job Title: Addiction Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Addiction Nurse to join our team at the Vancouver Detox Centre. As an Addiction Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients in the process of detoxification, stabilization, and transition into other residential addiction services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve excellence in client-centered care and education
  • Work effectively with challenging clients to maintain a safe environment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on addiction recovery and treatment options
Qualifications
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Two years' recent, related clinical experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
