Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Pilot to join our team at Skyservice. As a key member of our flight operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pilot services to our managed clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Chief Pilot in ensuring daily flight operations comply with Transport Canada regulations, company policies, and operational standards.
  • Address and resolve flight operations issues, providing daily support to pilots.
  • Assist in hiring and interviewing pilots on behalf of managed clients.
  • Maintain currency and qualification on at least one fleet aircraft type.
  • Act as a Line Check Pilot to evaluate, mentor, and qualify pilots.
  • Ensure the prevention and investigation of all pilot/crew related occurrence reports.
  • Promote a Safety-First Culture and uphold safety in all aspects of flight operations.
  • Work closely with the Director, Flight Operations and other leaders to develop short and long-term plans to support the growth of the business.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Safety, Maintenance, Airport Operations, Operations Center, and Administration.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
  • Exercise limited operational control as delegated by the Director of Operations.
  • Conduct line supervisory flights to ensure pilot professionalism and standards.
  • Represent Skyservice in government, industry, and community activities related to flight operations.
  • Encourage process improvements and error reporting from employees.
  • Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and conduct adhere to Company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Previous corporate environment experience, Canadian ATPL and Medical, and experience meeting or exceeding Skyservice hiring minimums.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Transport Canada requirements for 604, 703, and 704 training requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with the Pelesys platform, Webmanual, and FOS.
  • Microsoft Office: High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-driven with the ability to motivate others and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Polished and professional interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
