Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at the Bank of China. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions

  • Conduct thorough financial and borrower assessments to develop a strong rationale for credit proposals
  • Coordinate the processing of approved loans, ensuring compliance with Bank lending policies and customer needs
  • Solve problems related to loan processing and servicing, providing excellent customer service
  • Provide input on maintaining up-to-date client files, including conducting annual reviews
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion and product enhancements, based on client feedback and market analysis
  • Support the preparation and execution of account-related social events and marketing campaigns
  • Closely engage in product development, collaborating with other team members and cross-functional teams
  • Represent the Bank in various community and social events to enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business
  • Cross-sell the Bank's other products and services, referring clients to appropriate staff as needed
  • Assist the Bank in establishing and maintaining a strong market position in the financing arena
  • Coach and motivate junior team members and other staff members in commercial banking business

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial credit experience, with solid knowledge and training in lending activities and terminology
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan processing
  • Relevant post-secondary education, such as a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) Chinese is essential
  • Ability to develop marketing and business development skills with clients
  • Ability to lead and coach less experienced loan officers and other staff members
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications, including MS Office Suite
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work accurately within deadlines
  • Adaptability and flexibility to deal with a rapidly changing environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
