We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at the Bank of China. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our client base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including loan and credit applications
- Conduct thorough financial and borrower assessments to develop a strong rationale for credit proposals
- Coordinate the processing of approved loans, ensuring compliance with Bank lending policies and customer needs
- Solve problems related to loan processing and servicing, providing excellent customer service
- Provide input on maintaining up-to-date client files, including conducting annual reviews
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and product enhancements, based on client feedback and market analysis
- Support the preparation and execution of account-related social events and marketing campaigns
- Closely engage in product development, collaborating with other team members and cross-functional teams
- Represent the Bank in various community and social events to enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business
- Cross-sell the Bank's other products and services, referring clients to appropriate staff as needed
- Assist the Bank in establishing and maintaining a strong market position in the financing arena
- Coach and motivate junior team members and other staff members in commercial banking business
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial credit experience, with solid knowledge and training in lending activities and terminology
- Advanced knowledge of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan processing
- Relevant post-secondary education, such as a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) Chinese is essential
- Ability to develop marketing and business development skills with clients
- Ability to lead and coach less experienced loan officers and other staff members
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications, including MS Office Suite
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work accurately within deadlines
- Adaptability and flexibility to deal with a rapidly changing environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
