About the Role:
Hospice Niagara is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality palliative care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.
- Assess and manage pain and symptoms to ensure our residents receive the best possible care.
- Administer medications and implement medical interventions as needed to support our residents' health and well-being.
- Develop and update care plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team to ensure our residents receive comprehensive care.
- Provide post-mortem care with dignity and respect for our residents and their loved ones.
- Establish strong relationships with our residents, their loved ones, and our team members to provide a supportive and caring environment.
- Act as a leader during shifts, providing guidance and support to our team members as needed.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance our services and care delivery.
- Perform administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of our team.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an RN program with a valid license in good standing.
- Minimum of two years of palliative care experience (preferably in a hospice setting).
- Completed Fundamentals of Palliative Care and other relevant certifications to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario to ensure you meet the regulatory requirements for practice in Ontario.
