Position Overview:
Our client is a prominent provider of comprehensive risk management solutions tailored for energy enterprises navigating the complexities of contemporary energy commodity markets.

Established over a decade ago by seasoned professionals in energy risk, the organization has successfully delivered risk management software, consulting services, and educational programs to over 220 clients within the global energy landscape.

Role Summary:
As a Lead Risk Business Consultant, you will:
  • Deliver high-level onsite consulting expertise to clients, ensuring optimal utilization of our client's solutions and the establishment of industry best practices.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in energy trading and risk management.
  • Act as the primary Project Manager, overseeing analytical services and projects for clients.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, leading analytical projects from conception through design, testing, and implementation, with a focus on data modeling.
  • Draft business specifications for development teams and supervise junior and intermediate Analysts in the specification development process.
  • Provide ongoing senior-level support to clients regarding the effective use of our client's solutions.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for both internal and external clients related to our client's offerings.
  • Participate as a senior analyst in development teams for long-term projects aimed at delivering production applications.
Qualifications:
• Extensive knowledge of energy risk management and trading environments.
• In-depth understanding of risk analytics.
• Advanced modeling capabilities with various risk metrics, including Mark-to-Market (MtM), Value-at-Risk (VaR), Earnings-at-Risk (EaR), Credit Risk, and various statistical and simulation models.
• Exceptional ability to identify client needs, conduct gap analysis, and translate findings into actionable implementation strategies.
• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in energy risk management or energy trading sectors.
• Proficient understanding of software development processes and the software development lifecycle.
• Advanced SQL skills for accessing Oracle databases through data query tools.
• Strong systems analysis capabilities.
