Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Total Rewards Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering our total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition initiatives. This is a key role that will play a critical part in attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent, and ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and aligned with our organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, and annual merit reviews.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure our compensation practices are aligned with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including group insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, negotiate contracts, and educate employees about benefits options.
  • Manage leave programs, including short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and parental leave, ensuring they meet employee needs and compliance standards.
  • Design and implement wellness programs that promote physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Develop and manage employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements and foster a culture of appreciation.
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns with our mission, goals, and values.
  • Manage the budget for total rewards programs, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with our organizational objectives.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs, providing regular reports on participation rates, costs, and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain policies related to total rewards, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with university policies.
  • Guide and support employees on all total rewards-related matters, working closely with the People Business Partnering team to resolve any compensation, benefits, or recognition issues that arise.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive experience in total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Strong technical foundation, including proficiency in MS Excel and ability to pick up new systems and technologies easily.
  • Excellent organizational skills in a demanding, multi-system, multi-service provider environment.
  • Passion for learning and doing more, with a willingness to take ownership of multiple segments of the Total Rewards portfolio.
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to create internal messaging, reports, and other documentation.
  • Ability to work across teams and with managers and leaders, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
