Position Overview

The Room Cleaning Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest accommodations at Holiday Inn & Suites. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to providing a welcoming environment for our guests.

Work Environment

The role is set within a hotel, motel, or resort environment, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Dust and maintain furniture to ensure a tidy appearance.
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered items.
  • Make beds and change linens to uphold guest comfort.
  • Distribute fresh towels and toiletries as needed.
  • Organize and stock the linen closet efficiently.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Maintain cleanliness in elevators and other common areas.
  • Handle lost and found items with care and report appropriately.
  • Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or information.
  • Dispose of trash and debris to maintain a clean environment.
  • Assist guests with personal hygiene needs when required.
  • Launder and mend clothing and household linens.
  • Conduct light housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Shop for necessary supplies as needed.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to ensure cleanliness.
  • Maintain changing rooms and shower areas.
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns professionally.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, along with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required.
  • Overtime may be necessary.
Weight Handling

Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
