About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1458366 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Build and Install Structures: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of buildings and other structures.
  • Fit and Install Fixtures: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and functional living or working space.
  • Train and Mentor Apprentices: Instruct apprentices in the skills and techniques required for carpentry and construction, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Work Environment and Conditions

As a Carpenter with 1458366 B.C. LTD, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often in confined spaces, with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. You will be required to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry and construction.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and work at heights, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player with strong values and ethics, able to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
