Part-Time Bilingual Language Instructor Needed

Are you enthusiastic about languages? Do you have a passion for education and a desire to assist students in mastering English and French?

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is on the lookout for dedicated part-time language instructors to join our educational team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with learners, teaching language fundamentals, and fostering skill development.

As a Bilingual Language Instructor, you will benefit from pre-planned lessons, allowing you to focus on delivering quality instruction. Comprehensive training in our unique teaching philosophy and methodologies will be provided.

Position Requirements

Instructors are expected to work during after-school hours (3:30 PM - 8:00 PM) and occasionally on Saturdays (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM). A commitment through the academic term is preferred, with opportunities to continue during the summer. Reliability is essential, as you will be instrumental in your students' learning journeys.

This position requires in-person attendance at our learning centre. Candidates must be able to commute, as remote work is not an option. A background check is required.

We encourage applications from individuals who meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Final-year university students with significant tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with the current K-12 curriculum is advantageous

Experience:

  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring at the K-12 level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple students simultaneously

Responsibilities (Position Details)

As an Interactive Coach, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Instructing up to three students at varying levels
  • Implementing both in-person and online teaching strategies
  • Adhering to Oxford Learning's educational methodologies
  • Documenting post-lesson notes
  • Providing daily updates on student progress
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor

  • Evenings
  • Monday to Friday
